Prof. Jude Okohue


President

Professor Jude Okohue represents West Africa on the Global Congress on Hysteroscopy board in Barcelona and served as a Board member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) Hysteroscopy Special Interest Group from January 2022 to January 2023. He currently serves as one of the five Board members of the AAGL Professional Education Committee. He was the maiden editor of AGES, where, as the lead editor, he successfully published the textbook Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery: Basic Concepts, recently published by Springer. Prof. Okohue also serves as an editorial board member in numerous international journals including, the Italian Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

Dr. Akinyemi Olaleye


Vice-President

Dr. Akinyemi Olaleye graduated from the prestigious University of Ibadan Medical School and completed his postgraduate residency program in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile- Ife following which he had his fellowship at the West African College of Surgeon. Afterward, he joined The Premier Specialists’ Medical Centre, Lagos as an obstetrician/Gynaecologist and went on to bag a diploma in Gynecological Endoscopy from UKSH Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel, Germany in 2010. He was an executive director and member of the board of The premier Specialists Medical Centre, Lagos from 2011 to 2020. He then set up Sameda Clinics Limited, a women-centered gynecological and endoscopy center in 2020 and he is currently the executive Chairman and Medical Director of Sameda Clinics Limited. He has carried out and published research in multinational journals and he contributes regularly to various local magazines in Nigeria on medical issues. He has attended several other clinical and nonclinical training, seminars, and conferences in the field of IVF, advanced gynecological endoscopy, advanced life support group, and global leadership in health both locally and internationally. He has played active roles in some divestments within the shores of Nigeria and has partnered with a few start-ups. He is a member board of trustees of The Peculiar Saints Orphanage, Ajah, Lagos, and also a director at Travelbanc, Lekki Lagos( travel, tourism, and logistics)

Dr. Moses Fache


General Secretary

Dr. Moses M. Fache is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and the CEO/Medical Director of Procare Hospital, Abuja, where he leads a busy advanced fertility and minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery service. His clinical interests span IVF/ICSI and fertility preservation, ovarian rejuvenation therapies, laser applications in Gynecology, Cosmetic gynecology, as well as hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery for fibroids, endometriosis and other complex benign gynaecologic conditions.
Within AGES, Dr. Fache has served the Association in several capacities, including pioneer Public Relations Officer between 2017 and 2021, and Assistant Secretary-General between 2021 and 2023, and is the current Secretary-General. He is passionate about integrating technology, data and innovation to expand access to high-quality, evidence-based endoscopic surgery and fertility care across Nigeria and the region.

Professor Sulayman Umar Hajaratu

Public Relations Officer

Professor Sulayman Umar Hajaratu is a Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Fertility Specialist at Ahmadu Bello University and Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria. A Fellow of multiple prestigious colleges, she holds advanced certifications in infertility, assisted reproductive technology, laparoscopic surgery, and reproductive health. She has published extensively, contributed to several books, and participated in numerous national and international conferences. Beyond her academic and clinical work, she has served in key professional leadership roles and remains an active member of major medical associations. She enjoys cooking and watching TV.

Dr OLALERE is a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with the Lagos State University College of Medicine/Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja Lagos Nigeria. As part of her corporate social responsibility, she served as a Fertility specialist to the Institute of Fertility Medicine, LASUTH, a public private partnership initiative between Bridge Clinic and LASUTH. A visiting Consultant at Vedic Life Care Lekki Lagos.
She had several specialist trainings in operative hysteroscopy, minimal access surgery, and assisted reproductive technology among others. She’s a certified mediator on alternative dispute resolution trained at the Lagos State Multi- door Court House, Igbosere Lagos.Haleemah is also a co-Director of Madaniyah Women Specialist Hospital, Lagos which sees to reproductive
health needs of its clients in a female-only (more female-friendly) environment. She is a Chief Medical Director of Triple H fertility hub and Specialist Hospital, Ibadan.
She is happily married to Dr. Ishaq Olalere with children.

Dr. Fatima Habeebu-Adeyemi


Financial Secretary

Dr. Habeebu-Adeyemi is a highly skilled Obstetrician Gynaecologist and certified Minimal Access Surgeon.
She is a fellow of West African College of Surgeons (FWASC) with Masters in Public Health (MPH) from University of Leeds (UK), Diploma in Reproductive Health in Developing Countries (DRH) from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Diploma and Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery both from Open University of India (DMAS, FMAS) and certified as a Laparoscopic Surgeon by Galaxy Care Laparoscopic Institute (India). She has successfully performed several open and minimal access surgeries.
She was awarded “The Ruth Griffith’s award” for Master Public Health, University of Leeds in 2016, Distinction award by Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2014, Performance award for The Woman Trial Study by London Liverpool School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine 2012, Caregiver Award for the month of March 2022 and Quality Champion award 2022 both in Evercare Hospital Lekki where she pioneered the setting up of the Maternal and Child Unit.
She is currently the Chief Medical Director of the Pearls Specialist Medical Centre situated in a serene environment in Lekki Phase 1. The hospital is a multi-specialist facility with modern equipment and professionally astute medical and administrative staff, working all year round providing high quality healthcare services.

Dr. Olufemi Ayanbode


Director of Training

Dr. Olufemi Ayanbode is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Surgeon with extensive experience in endoscopy, ultrasonography, and advanced laparoscopic procedures. He earned his MBBS from the University of Ibadan, completed his residency at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, and is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. He further trained in advanced gynaecological and 3D laparoscopy in Italy and has participated in numerous international workshops and conferences.

Dr. Ayanbode currently serves as a Consultant at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and provides specialist services as a visiting consultant to several leading hospitals. He is also the Medical Director of Mother Mary Catholic Hospital, Isolo, and Bahama Hospital, Ikeja.

A dedicated clinician and surgeon, he has co-authored peer-reviewed publications and is an active member of several professional bodies, including ISGE, ISUOG, WACS, AGES, AFRH, and SOGON.

Dr. Ogelle Onyecherelam Monday


Deputy Director of Training

Dr. Ogelle Onyecherelam Monday obtained his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and completed his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi. He further pursued advanced subspecialty training in reproductive health, endoscopy, and gynaecology in India at the World Laparoscopic Hospital, Global Open University, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. He was also part of the 117th Surgical Masters Course in Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and Advanced Laparoscopic Procedures at the Laparoscopic Institute for Gynaecology and Oncology, San Francisco, California.

Dr. Ogelle is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and an Honorary Consultant at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi. He also serves as the Chief Medical Director of Blessed Specialist Hospital and Maternity Ltd, Onitsha, Anambra State, and is the Deputy Director of Training for AGES.

He has authored numerous publications in both local and international journals and contributed chapters to notable gynaecological textbooks.

Dr. Ogelle is married to Prof. Obioma Helen Onyi-Ogelle, and they are blessed with wonderful children.
